Away time, sleep and working offline

Pausing when you step away

When there is no keyboard or mouse use for a while (5 minutes by default), the timer pauses at the moment you stopped. Only real input counts: mouse-jiggler and keep-awake tools don't keep the timer going.

When you come back, Clockade says how long you were away. If you were working (a call, a meeting, reading), press I was working, add this time and give a reason. That sends a missing-time request for an admin to approve.

Admins set the pause time under Settings → Time & attendance → The desktop app.

Sleep and lock

When the laptop sleeps the session ends. If it wakes the same day, the timer starts again and offers the time asleep as "I was working, add this time". If it wakes on a later day, the timer stays off.

No internet

The app keeps recording offline and sends everything when the connection is back. Screenshots taken offline are sent later too.

If the laptop's clock was more than 2 minutes wrong while offline, that offline time can't be trusted and isn't counted. The app tells you; ask for it with Add missing time.
