Updating the Mac and Windows apps

When a new version is out, the app shows a note and an Update button (in Preferences on a Mac, in Settings on Windows, and in the menu bar or tray). Press it and Clockade downloads the update, installs it and opens again. The timer keeps running, and anything recorded offline is sent first.

If an update fails, the old version stays and keeps working, with the reason and Try again.

Requiring a version

Admins can make a version required under Settings → Time & attendance → The desktop app. Laptops on an older version then show "Update needed" and can't start the timer until they update.

Team time → Activity → Who's set up shows which version each laptop is on.
