A different lunch break on one weekday, like Friday

Some offices take a longer break on one day of the week, most often a Friday lunch that covers Jummah prayers. Clockade handles this with a weekly timing change.

Set it up

  • Open Settings → Time & attendance → Timing changes ahead and press Add a change.
  • Give it a name, like Friday prayers, and pick the First day.
  • Set Which days to the weekday, for example Fridays only.
  • Type the new Lunch from and Lunch to, for example 13:15 to 14:45. Change the day start or end too if that day is different.
  • Leave Last day empty to keep it every week, press Add it, then Save.

What happens on that day

The Mac and Windows apps and the Chrome extension read the times from Clockade every few minutes, so the timer pauses for the longer lunch on every laptop without an app update.

The time needed on the timer that day drops by the extra break, so nobody is marked short or late for it.

A weekday change only replaces the times you changed. During Ramadan or winter hours it still applies on top of those.

Other days and periods

For a change on every day for a while, like Ramadan or winter hours, set Which days to Every day. See Saturdays, holidays and temporary hours.
