How lateness is counted and deducted
Clockade judges lateness from the first time the timer started that day, or approved missing time that starts earlier.
The rule
Admins set it under Settings → Time & attendance → Lateness:
- Always deduct when later than a time (09:25 by default): arriving after it always counts.
- Deduct a repeat when later than an earlier time (09:20 by default): arriving between the two counts only if the person was also late on their previous working day in the same week. The week starts on Monday.
- Grace minutes decide when someone shows as late at all.
What a late arrival costs
Late minutes, from the start of the day to arrival, are turned into leave as a share of the day. For example, 30 minutes late on an 8-hour day is about 0.06 of a day. It comes out of the person's free leave first. See Leave allowance and unpaid leave.
When it happens
Each night Clockade books the previous day's late deductions by itself. Today is never judged until the day is over. Staff see every deduction explained on My attendance.
An admin can skip a deduction on Team time → Month → Needs you.
